Filipe is a lawyer with significant experience in the fields of intellectual property (litigation and transactional), labour law and arbitration law, having worked at Vieira de Almeida & Associados (VdA) from 2020 until 2024, when he joined NLP.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and attended the advanced postgraduate course in Arbitration Law at FDUL's Private Law Research Centre. He was President of the Board (2019) and of the Supervisory Board (2018) of the Academic Association of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. He currently coordinates Portuguese teams taking part in international legal competitions.

He completed a summer internship at Vieira de Almeida & Associados (VdA) in 2018, in the intellectual property area. He completed a professional internship at the same firm in the areas of labour law and intellectual property, where he was an Associate between 2022 and 2024. In 2024 he joined NLP.
He has advised clients from a wide range of sectors (e.g. life sciences, technology, entertainment, sports, automobiles and energy) in litigation and pre-litigation court, administrative and arbitration proceedings. In the field of intellectual property, he has handled litigation relating to patents, supplementary protection certificates, trademarks, copyright (software), trade secrets and unfair competition, including nullity actions relating to these rights. He also has relevant experience in transactional matters related to intellectual property (due diligence, review and negotiation of various types of contracts, judicial and extrajudicial agreements, licensing, employment and service agreements, among others).
