Cláudia is a lawyer and a Portuguese Patent and Trademark Attorney.
Cláudia started her career in Litigation in 2003, having specialized in IP Litigation over 13 years ago.
Since then, she has been providing legal and strategic advice in all areas of IP and has been handling important litigation in all areas of IP law, particularly patents.
She is Secretary-General of the Portuguese Group of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).

In 2011 she joined the law firm PCA - Pereira da Cruz e Associados as a lawyer and J. Pereira da Cruz, S.A. as a legal consultant.
She joined NLP as Counsel in 2025.
A large part of her practice has been devoted to cases involving biotechnological and pharmaceutical patents and she has handled the defence of important reference medicines.
She is a speaker at conferences on matters relating to intellectual property and lecturer in courses on civil procedural and intellectual property law. She is also the author of various articles on intellectual property.
