The art of knowing the customer and managing their expectations

Is the customer always right? For Sara Nazaré, founding partner of NLP, a ‘productive’ and ‘long-lasting’ lawyer-client relationship has to be based on ‘trust’ and ‘mutual respect’ and, as in any relationship, closeness takes time to achieve: ‘it's important to be attentive from the very beginning, to strengthen the foundations and to not neglect the signals’.

As Sara Nazaré explained to ADVOCATUS, at NLP the starting point is based on a ‘direct’, ‘honest’ and ‘close’ communication channel. ‘A large part of communication involves asking the right questions, being very attentive to the answers and organizing and working internally on the basis of the information gathered.’
